Turnip Boy Steals the Mail
Turnip Boy's list of crimes grows in this spinoff mail-nabbing runner! Dash through package-littered landscapes, swapping styles while aiming for new high-scores and run closer to Veggieville's latest conspiracy.
The Concept
Turnip Boy Steals the Mail was born from the idea that the social media landscape is volatile and can change on a whim. Building our mailing lists became a priority as we wanted a stable way to share news with our audience. Turnip Boy Steals the Mail would be a free game used as an incentive to sign up, offering mailing list members exclusive items they can use in the game. It would also be a space we would update with new content showcasing characters, level themes, and cosmetics from different IPs within Snoozy Kazoo.
UI/UX
For this project, I focused mostly on UI/UX. I was heavily inspired by Kirby's Dream Buffet! The game was centered on stealing paper goods, so I wanted the UI to reflect a DIY/crafty look.
Art
I worked on concept art for most of the levels' backgrounds and gave feedback to other artists about background and character designs. The promo art was a collaboration between Kiki and me, throwing the piece back and forth as we juggled different aspects of the art in the game! I also did some light VFX work and started working on enemy animations for the game.

Design
I jumped on the design side of the game later on in the project, helping standardize how we design obstacles and levels. This was to ensure that we had a more reliable way to scale each level. If you're interested in reading more about that process, check this out!
