Go Wild! with Ranger Rick
Go Wild! With Ranger Rick is a rewards and engagement app that complements the beloved Ranger Rick magazines. Targeting 4-8-year-olds, this app bridges the age gap between Ranger Rick Jr. readers (3-5-years old) and Ranger Rick readers (7-9-years old). The app is free with a Ranger Rick magazine subscription, encouraging parents, grandparents, and caretakers to subscribe or purchase the app as a standalone for the same price.
UX Design
When I first joined the Ranger Rick team, my main responsibility was designing the full game flow based on the documentation that was already established between FableVision and NWF.
There was constant communication and iteration between me, FableVision, and NWF. Below are the wireframes that were used in the GDD that the client approved. I was constantly updating and managing the GDD as well.

After the wireframes were approved, I ended up mocking up certain screens in greater detail, trying to lock in more of the aesthetics that fit the Ranger Rick brand.

Transitioning to Art
After the pre-production phase, I continued as one of the artists for the project. My main responsibility was creating avatars, badges, image stickers, text stickers, and picture frames that children could use in various mini-games throughout the app. While doing this, I was in constant communication with the client, receiving feedback and iterating to make sure we were all on the same page. I also continued to assist on the design side!
